I think tying the Land Value tax to the Universal Basic Income will seriously undermine the chances of the Land Value Tax being implemented. It will also lead to very bad results.
It is much better to keep them as separate policies.
On the other hand if it works out then it becomes sticky; getting rid of the LVT then implies that the money going into Koreans’ pockets will dry up, which would likely be unpopular.
That might be a good thing if UBI works out well, but maybe a bad thing if it doesn’t and the money could be better spent elsewhere.

"I asked Jinsu what resources and help he needs to achieve his goals: The operating finances of the Institute are not abundant, so becoming a supporting member of the Institute, even with a small amount, would be a great help to our stable activities. I would find it useful to know what they annual budget is and some ballpark figure of what they hope to raise for this campaign. I know the real answer might be "as much as we can" but some context of whether $10k or $10mm is the scale of the org would be useful (the link has a lot of Korean in it; natural enough of course but it makes it hard for me to get the info there)
I believe their annual budget is on par with that of the CLE’s, so they are not a huge organization. I don’t know their exact figures, but our annual budget is basically two American salaries, so $160K-ish, their budget is in the same ballpark. So even small donations would be a big help for them on that scale, same as for us.

I'm interested in donating to each of CLE and in Jinsu's organization. but for CLE I'm told that while a (c)3 entity, it is a private foundation, which I'm not able to give to without really bad tax consequences (I can elaborate in a 1:1 communication if desired). Is that correct info? And are there any plans for it to be a public charity rather than a private foundation? For Jinsu's org, that's probably harder, not being a (c)3 at all, and not US, I probably just can't fund it, but I remain interested should there be some way to do so via a us 501(c)3 entity. Our annual budget is approximately $100K USD for three full-time staff. As we are still in the very early stages of planning our international campaigns, we haven’t been able to prepare English materials or specific funding targets just yet. We ask for your kind understanding.
Is there anything we (non-koreans) can do to help?
